Pheromones in Humans

September 30th, 2009 by admin

Pheromones were first discovered in the year 1959, which led to various developments in different aspects of behaviors and relationships. Pheromone is a term that indicates the typical chemical substances excreted by the animals when they are trying to pass a message to the opposite sex. Extensive research and clarification identified that pheromones also include some other species lie insects, mammals and the humans. In fact, the presence of pheromones in humans has become one of the most talked about and researched topics of different researchers all across the world.

Pheromones in human beings are technically linked to process of reproduction and attraction between the opposite sex, men and women. According to different researches, the real effect pf pheromones in human beings can as well be detected from the relation between a mother and her child. Studies have revealed that humans as infants have a strong attachment to their mothers via their smell, sound and texture. This is a unique bond that is seen in every species.
Like in all other species, they have a typical way of picking up messages via pheromones left by the mother; infants usually display certain distinctive characteristics that help in recognizing the pattern. Such methods of recognition led the scientists to deduce that the pheromones in human beings functions very much like pheromones in all the other species, though it is not usually pronounced.

Apart from these regular studies conducted to understand the relationship between a mother and her child, there are several other studies that are still being conducted. Some of these studies have revealed that pheromones play a great role in attracting people, especially the opposite sex. This is one such factor that has been criticized, but there is a section if the community that does not accept this fact. Scientists are however trying to do some more research on this area to get some clarity.

Pheromones are known to facilitate attraction in human beings, according to studies. It is basically the “X” factor that people often talk about. Pheromones determine the “X” factor in human beings. Pheromones have some typical genetic coding that is usually excreted for attracting the opposite sex; this implies to all the species.

Whether pheromones actually work or not are a mystery for scientists and therefore humans do not really have any idea about the same. However, people have been using the same for many causes and particularly for attracting their mates.

It is also being said that the attraction that occurs due to pheromones is usually through smell or odor. Considering this, there are many pheromone based products that have cropped up in the recent past with claims to help you in attracting the person you want. The truth however, is yet to be identified.

The History of the Vibrator

September 30th, 2009 by admin

Many people assume that sex toys are a recent invention and were invented in Asian. It is true that many sex aids today are made in Asia but the history of the dildo, the vibrator actually started in the west, and they have been used as sexual aids for more than 1,000 years.

The History of the Dildo: The first use of a dildo is not completely clear although it is recorded that single or lonely women in Ancient Greece used them. Unlike modern dildo’s they were made of wood or leather and needed plenty of olive oil for comfortable use. Dildos have always had a sexual purpose. Even male sex toys are available.

The Vibrator’s Humble Beginning: For hundreds of years it was believed that many ‘conditions’ women suffered from a disease called ‘Hysteria’ and that the uterus was complaining of neglect. Anything from tiredness, headaches, absent-mindedness, melancholia and insomnia, irregular breathing, and confusion was put down to ‘Hysteria’. In fact, any type of behavior by women that confused men were put down to hysteria. It was decided – by men – that ‘Hysteria’ was caused by sexual frustration. It seemed clear that a women’s mental or emotional distress was an indication of a need for sexual release. Hysteria, it seems was a prevalent disease, second only to ‘fevers’ – or the classic cold. It was also classed as a chronic disease that could not be cured.

The Vibrator Was About To Be Born.

A ‘breakthrough’ for the poor weary doctors came in 1869 when the steam powered massage and vibratory apparatus for treatment of female disorders was patented. This apparatus was intended for supervised use only in case of over indulgence.

It was indeed a brilliant invention, saving doctors much time, therefore allowing them to see more patients. Many doctors had difficulty in treating patients using their own fingers. They could start to perform in minutes, tasks that before could have taken up to an hour. A 17th century doctor was to complain how tiring and time consuming the ‘massage therapy’ was for the doctor.

Other strange techniques were also sometimes used, such as air powered and gasoline powered vibrating tables, swinging chairs, jolting chairs and many others.

What does seem strange now, is that it was deemed normal for women during Victorian times to visit their doctor in order to obtain the sexual pleasure and relief they were not getting at home.

The Modern Vibrator

Within 20 years of the steam-powered vibrator being patented, a more portable battery vibrator was available, and by the turn of the 20th century – 20 years after the first electromechanical vibrator there were at least two-dozen different types of vibrators available to the medical profession.

It was not long before certain businesspersons spotted the potential of producing vibrators and selling them directly to women. They were marketed as household appliances – although never as sexual massagers. They were advertised in respectable periodicals.

Advertisements spoke of ‘health, vigor and beauty” promoting the vibrator as an aid to health. Men were encouraged to give their wives a massager as a gift. In fact, the vibrator (massager) was only the fifth electrical household appliance behind the kettle, toaster, sewing machine and fan.

The idea of hysteria as a disease was debunked in the 1950’s.

Today, women everywhere see their vibrator as part of their sexual independence and freedom. SexToys now come in all shapes, sizes are mostly quiet and discreet, and many women use them regularly.

Refresh Your Toy Box!

September 24th, 2009 by admin

Many of twenty and something women have never been thinking seriously about vibrators and dildos until they were introduced to it in the Sex and the City. The rabbit vibrator presented there can compete with a man with amazing hands.

As one of those who tried it I can say that it is a soft, pink, with shiny pearls tool that makes you squeal! I also liked the fact that this vibrator smelled pleasant, unlike other sex toys that smell of polyurethane.

The softness of this vibe makes it as close to the real thing as you can imagine, besides unlike the real thing you have control of this one! The toy has two buttons: one for vibration speed, and one for rotation of the shaft. The great thing about it was that I found tens of combinations to choose from. Honestly, the vibe is a little bit noisy, so I used to utilize it as a dildo. I would suggest using some warming lube; it will enrich your sensations plus will make first contact pleasant (it can a little cool when you take it of the box).

PS. This crazy thing eats up batteries really fast, so make sure you always have some more of that, otherwise you can stop at a very improper moment (when you are ready to come up)! Spend your money wisely!

Tips Fpr Encouragin Different People

September 2nd, 2009 by writer

In life there are numerous reasons why we feel the need for some inspirational encouragement quotes. The truth is that as much as there are awewsome moments in life there are also some sad moments that we can not just pretend don’t exist. If you have a sister who needs some some biblical words of encouragement then take a few minutes to go through this brief but useful write-up.

Losing someone you love

Losing someone you love is not easy and if you know someone who needs some encouragement words then do take the time to share something positive. They need to be around positive people and to hear positive words. Be weary of overdoing it. You need to be sensitive enough to know when and how to say it.

Grieving people go through various phases of grief and you need to be sensitive to understand the grieving process and what words to say at each stage.

First time at work

Being in a new office can be overwhelming for most people. So if you know someone who is just starting a new job then you have a candidate to help out. For someone who has a good sense of humor, it is a good idea to send him or her some poems about encouragement about being in a new job.

Someone in a new country

Being in a different country can be so frustrating especially if you can not understand the local language. One of the predominant feelings are anxiety and being home sick. I know someone who fell into a serious depression a few days after arriving in a new country – to stay for 12 months. It took two months to get that person out of the “slump” .

Other people who need to be encouraged from time to time include, married couples, someone who is sick and probably in hospital and people locked up in prison. As you live through each day, do not forget that someone needs you to share some few uplifting words.

A Young Couple Reviews Their Heavy and Hazardous Drinking and Their Short and Long-Term Aspirations, Goals, and Dreams

August 23rd, 2009 by writer

Augie and Merissa have been seeing one another for six years. They met while taking the same cultural anthropology class at a relatively small, country, Church affiliated liberal arts college located in the Southern part of the U.S. While they were mostly good buddies at first, they finally started to date when they were in their first year of college.

Since both of them came from very strict backgrounds, neither one of them drank very much beyond the experimental stage when they first began dating. As the time advanced, however, they started to go to more football bashes, happy hours, keg parties, and sorority and fraternity parties. As a consequence, they steadily began to drink more the longer they dated.

Their Social Life As a Rule Consisted of Going to Happy Hour With Their Friends, Going to Professional Sporting Events, Going to Parties With Their Friends, Going to Restaurants Three or Four Nights Per Week, and Going With Their Friends to the Local Nightspot on the Weekends

After they graduated from college, they both got jobs in a relatively large city located approximately sixty-five miles from their undergraduate college. Then they eventually made up their mind to move into the same apartment together.

Because they were far removed from the college drinking scene, then again, their social life usually consisted of going to restaurants three or four nights per week, going to parties with their friends, going to professional sporting events, going to happy hour with their friends, and going to the local nightclub with their buddies on the weekends. Simply put, Merissa and Augie started to drink in an excessive manner.

Now that they were living in the same apartment with one another and starting to get more committed to their relationship, nonetheless, they started to think about buying a house, having children, getting married, and becoming more responsible.

With any major change in an individual’s life there is regularly something that initiates the particular alteration in question. For Augie and Merissa the idea of buying a new house and having children was this “trigger.” In a word, for the first time in their lives, Augie and Merissa began to reflect on their irresponsible and hazardous drinking and the alcohol long term effects on their lives.

How Would Their Irresponsible and Abusive Drinking Affect Their Mental Health, Their Finances, Their Relationship With One Another, Their Ability to Have Children, and Their Relationship With Their Parents?

Would their abusive and heavy drinking unfavorably affect their ability to have children? How would they be able to continue spending a large percentage of their money on drinking if they were to begin saving for a new house? How accountable would they be if they had children and continued to drink in an excessive and abusive manner? How would they be able to face their parents and tell them about their long term plans, hopes, and dreams while they still drank in an irresponsible and excessive manner while having fun as they did when they were in college? What would their irresponsible and heavy drinking do to their relationship? How would their excessive and irresponsible drinking affect their mental health?

From a different perspective, although neither one of them ever suffered from alcohol poisoning, received a DUI, or experienced alcohol withdrawal symptoms, they realized that their abusive and irresponsible drinking was becoming a problem that they could not close their eyes to any longer.

After Giving Their Situation Some Serious Thought, Augie and Merissa Finally Comprehended That Their Hopes, Dreams, and Plans Would not be Reached if They Continued Their Hazardous and Abusive Drinking

All of these queries without a doubt pointed to the same conclusion: Merissa and Augie needed to realize that they couldn’t continue their heavy and hazardous drinking if their dreams, plans, and hopes were to be fulfilled.

Once they arrived at this conclusion, they informed their drinking pals about their marital plans, about their goal of buying or building a new house, and about their plans to start a family. They also told their drinking pals that they still wanted to associate with them but that they would be drinking responsibly from this moment forward so that they could begin realizing their future goals, aspirations, and dreams.

Much to their wonder, all of their friends expressed relief because they too had been mulling over their lives and concluded that their life-styles were too centered around drinking. They also realized that they would have to change drastically if they were to become more mature and show more forethought for their careers, their health, and for their aspirations in the next twenty or twenty-five years.

After their frank chat with their buddies about their dreams, aspirations, and hopes, Augie and Merissa in effect started to have more meaningful relationships with all of their buddies. The primary reason for this was the fact that all of them had a similar state of mind regarding their excessive and abusive drinking and their relatively short and long-term aspirations, plans, and goals.

My Space Themed Wedding Was Not bad

August 18th, 2009 by writer

A huge amount of people literally want to get married with all of the traditional things. They literally want the big white dress aswell as the amazing church and wonderful party. I really do not know what it is, but I seem to have always been the odd person, but when my partner proposed to me I literally did not want any of it. I basically just wanted to live out my dream and have a space themed wedding.

My story began when I was around ten years old, I really got into space and astrology and it was something that has stayed with me all my life. I find space and planets so very interesting. Well when I turned 25 my long term partner decided to make a commitment to me, he was also a space geek, so when I announced what I wanted for the wedding, he was shocked but delighted.

The next couple of months saw me organising the whole wedding. I literally had to make a huge amount of phone calls and see so many people to actually get to where I wanted to be. I can tell you what, all of my efforts really paid off. When I initially step foot into the building I was literally blown away. All the lights were turned out and we had, what I could only describe as spotlights representing stars, there were then planets floating around the room. In front of me all I could see was a space shuttle and that was where me and my husband were going to say our vows.

If you are reading this article then you are in most probability wondering what it was that I wore, well basically I made everyone dress up in astronauts costumes. It was a great day and thanks to the wedding photography it will be one that I always truly remember.

Defining Couples Counseling

August 17th, 2009 by writer

It is more common for married couples to find couples counseling when they feel like they’re having major relationship problems. Thus, it has a reputation as a last resort when every method to handle problems has been exhausted. Some couples do decide to use it even if nothing can be found wrong with the relationship. Even if you and your partner aren’t married yet, this may be chosen. With the last instance, some counselors and psychologists have said that this might be the perfect time to undergo counseling.

As a matter of fact, it is wise to be ready for some surprises if you take couples counseling before the wedding. There will be things that you discover about your future spouse that you may not have learned otherwise without the counseling program. They could be the sorts of things you should learn about your intended before you take your vows, and not after you’ve walked down the aisle as husband and wife.

With the knowledge gained from this sort of counseling, you may be better equipped to work through serious issues that threaten to undermine your marriage. You will be taught to be a better listener and will become capable of perceive what your partner is feeling and what kind of views they have about life and relationships.

The issue of having children is one of the things you need to talk about in couples counseling. The difficulty with this one is that while it is often mentioned it isn’t always understood. Your fiancé may only say that they want kids because they know that you would like to have children. In reality, one spouse may not be sure about it yet, but is still open to kids in the future. This may be just one of many issues addressed during pre-marital counseling times. These issues can be worked out by you and your spouse so a decision can be reached about them before they evolve into problems later on during the marriage.

One of the other examples that gets the most attention is money matters. As a part of couples counseling, you may gain a firmer grasp on how your partner understands and uses money. Should you learn that each of you have fundamentally different views on how money should be used, you have a real reason to be concerned about conflicts. This sort of difference is the type that should dissuade you from marriage if you believe that you can’t live with it for the rest of your life. If you take the time to deal with such issues now and are ready to compromise it just might work. You will be given skills to find solutions and reach decisions in counseling.

With a well-conceived couples counseling program, you have the means to get an accurate estimate of your partner. It is normal to form distorted views and expectations of your partner and the future you see; this method helps break down those fantasies. Counselors are there so you know who your partner so you can make the right choice about the relationship.
